Grace Coolidge
Twenty-one-year-old violinist Grace Coolidge recently graduated from the Mannes School of Music, where she earned a B.M. with distinction. Through the school, she has had the privilege of performing at venues such as Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, and New York City Center with the Martha Graham Dance Company, as well as working with conductors such as JoAnn Falletta and Joseph Colaneri.
As an avid chamber musician, she has been a member of both the Revelation Ensemble, which performed with guest artist Todd Phillips in January, and Trio Aram, a clarinet-violin-piano trio that performed in Weill Recital Hall in May. Grace has also attended the Music Mountain Chamber Music Masterclasses, and some of her past coaches include Daniel and Todd Phillips, Mischa Amory, Colin Carr, Rebecca Fischer, and Kikuei Ikeda.
Aside from performing, Grace also has a love of teaching and serves as teaching assistant to Sally Thomas at Meadowmount. She hopes someday to have a career that balances both her teaching and chamber music performance.
